"Do not fire until you see the whites of their eyes" is what William Prescott said to his soldiers at the battle between the British and the American Patriot Forces right at the start of the Revolutionary War. This is Bunker Hill Monument, commemorating the Battle of Bunker Hill, which is misnamed as it actually happened on Breed's Hill on June 17th, 1775.
